Returns & Exchanges

Buying clothes online has a fit problem. Returns are how we let you solve it without it costing you anything.

The short version

You have 30 days from delivery to return or exchange most pieces, for free, no questions asked. The piece must be unworn, with tags attached, and in its original condition. Tailoring (blazers and tailored trousers) and gift cards are the only exceptions; they're final sale.

How to return

1. Go to northform.studio/returns and enter your order number and email

2. Pick the items, pick a reason, pick "refund" or "exchange"

3. Print the prepaid shipping label that appears

4. Drop the package at any USPS location

You'll see your refund in 5 to 7 business days after the package is scanned by USPS. We don't wait to receive it at our studio first.

For an exchange, we hold inventory on the new item the moment you start the return so it doesn't sell out while you're shipping. If the new item is more expensive, you pay the difference at checkout. If it's less, we refund the difference.

What counts as "unworn"

A garment is "unworn" if:

  • The tags are still attached
  • It hasn't been laundered, washed, or pressed
  • It doesn't have makeup, perfume, deodorant, or food on it
  • It still smells the way it did when it shipped

We trust you. We don't sniff returns or inspect them under a UV light. But we do return-to-sender any piece that's clearly been worn out for an evening and sent back the next morning. It's a small percentage of returns and we'd rather call it out here than have an awkward email exchange about it.

What's final sale

  • Tailoring (Single-Breasted Blazer, Double-Breasted Blazer, Tailored Trouser Straight, Tailored Trouser Wide). Final sale because we make these in small runs and a return is hard to re-sell.
  • Gift cards. Final sale because they're stored value.

There is no other final-sale category. Northform doesn't do clearance, so there's no "all sales final" trap on discounted pieces.

International returns

We accept international returns within 30 days but cannot prepay the shipping label or refund any import duties you paid. Ship the package back via your local carrier with tracking; we'll refund the item cost when it arrives. Email returns@northform.studio before you ship so we know to look out for it.

If something arrived damaged

Write to returns@northform.studio with a photo within 14 days. We re-ship at no cost. Don't bother trying to return a damaged piece; we'd rather know about the damage so we can talk to the workshop.

Why we make returns easy

The brand is built on a fit promise. If a piece doesn't fit, the brand failed; it shouldn't cost you to find that out. Free returns are part of the product, not a marketing line.
